Brendan Albee is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Hudson Bay Capital. He oversees the firm’s strategic finance, accounting, operations, tax, technology, and human resources functions. He also serves on the firm’s Management Committee, contributing to enterprise-wide strategy, governance, and organizational development.
Prior to joining Hudson Bay in 2022, Mr. Albee was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Värde Partners, a $13 billion global alternative investment adviser. Earlier, he spent eight years at Barclays, ultimately serving as Global Chief Operating Officer for the bank’s Equities, Prime Services, Asset Management, Securities, and Asset Servicing Operations businesses. In this role, he managed large-scale operational teams and executed major transformation programs across multiple regions and business lines. Mr. Albee began his career at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he worked across investment banking, strategy, and operating risk functions.
Mr. Albee graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a BS in Accounting and holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he was recognized as a Fuqua Scholar.
