Charles Winkler
Charlie Winkler is a Senior Partner and Advisor at Hudson Bay Capital. Prior to January 1, 2024, he served as Hudson Bay’s Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for the management of the firm’s business functions.
Prior to joining Hudson Bay in 2007, Mr. Winkler was Chief Operating Officer and a Senior Managing Director of Amaranth Group, Inc. from 2001–2006, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the firm other than investments and risk management. From 1996–2001, he was a Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Citadel Investment Group L.L.C., a member of Citadel’s Management Committee, Chairman of its Operations Committee, and a director of various Citadel entities. Prior to joining Citadel in 1996, he was a Partner at the Chicago law firm Neal Gerber & Eisenberg, where he concentrated on tax and corporate counseling to investment advisers and private investment firms.
Mr. Winkler graduated With Highest Distinction from Emory University with a BBA in Accounting and received a JD from Northwestern University School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business.
